A Call for Fire and Simplicity

August 21, 2025 — Somewhere between a small town and a long road
We’ve got too much noise in politics. Too many men with soft hands counting money they didn’t earn. Too many bills signed with pens dipped in greed, not ink. That’s the damn truth.
The government’s in our pockets. Our banks. Our driveways. They want a cut of everything — our sweat, our groceries, even the old radio we sell at a garage sale because rent came due early. They smile and call it fair. They call it necessary. But a thief with a badge is still a thief.
There’s too much money in government. That’s why it’s rotten. You can smell it. You can hear it in the long speeches that say nothing. You can see it in the wars they keep feeding with your sons and your savings.
They talk about freedom. Then they take a third of your paycheck before you ever hold it in your hand. They tax what you make, what you save, and what you sell. They tax your time. Your labor. Your patience.
That’s not freedom. That’s dressed-up servitude.
Let them tax one thing: the sale. Nothing more. Not your read more job. Not your breath. Not your future.
And maybe, just maybe, if we did that — click here if we pulled their greedy fingers off the income we fight for, the savings we build, the humble exchanges between neighbors — maybe then the noise would quiet. Maybe then wars wouldn’t come so easy. Because it’s always money, isn’t it? Money for bombs. Money for contracts. Money for votes.
We were supposed to govern ourselves. But we got tired. We got used to being robbed. We got polite about it.
Well, it’s time to stop being polite.
No more income tax.
No more taxes on savings.
No more tolls and double tolls.
No more taxing the old man trying to sell his tools on a Sunday morning.
We have feet. Let’s use them. Let’s put them down. Firm. Heavy. Together.
Governments forget who they serve when they eat too well. Maybe it’s time they went hungry for a while.
Maybe then they’d remember:
The people don’t work for the state.
The state works for the people.
And the people are wide awake.
